Logistics had to include thousands of people, but under strict federal COVID standards

Overall event coordination for the Grand Opening Weekend of Pullman National Historical Park (formerly Monument) for the National Park Service. This event was spread throughout the entire neighborhood of Pullman on Chicago’s far south side. It included coordinating logistics for visiting railcars (Amtrak, Metra, Canadian National and the American Association of Private Railroad Car Owners); VIP speakers including Interior Secretary Haaland, Gov. Pritzker, Senator Durbin and Mayor Lightfoot, and many more; coordinating with the secret service, Illinois state police, local Chicago police and the National Park police; a massive media push including every major outlet in Chicago plus national coverage; over 100 volunteers; a parade; music; vendors and all the tents, porta-potties and trash pickup of any festival.
