Location-Aware Storytelling

This custom choose-your-own-adventure style audio app allows the visitor to participate in multiple stories and affect the outcome by where they go in an exhibit without disturbing the experience of other visitors. Bluetooth hotspots trigger audio files as a visitor walks into the area covered. A custom content management tool allows the creation of logic to the storyline- essentially, the story path changes depending on where the visitor chooses to walk. In the Streets exhibit, this allowed us to quickly switch out the themes of the exhibit (Entertainment, Public Health, Public Safety and Immigration) and explore those themes from multiple view points (Visitors chose a person to walk the Streets with).
