The exhibition, created for the 400th anniversary of Galileo’s astronomical telescope, walks visitors through the people, places and a unique collection of historic telescopes that defined the history of telescopic astronomy. The exhibition uses a color-coding system to clearly define three story threads — tools, discoveries and current conceptions of the universe those discoveries led to. The gallery also includes lots of hands on interactives that let visitors see what Galileo first saw, bend light, create their own telescope by mixing and matching lenses and much more.
